And Frankl says...

"We detect rather than invent our mission in life". I like that choice of words. I think each of us has an internal monitor or sense, a conscience, that gives us an awareness of our own uniqueness and the singular contribution that we can make. In Frankl's words "Everyone has his own specific vocation or mission in life. Therein he cannot be replaced, nor can his life be repeated. Thus everyone's task is as unique as his specific opportunity to implement it".

This is what separates us as humans but unites us in common achievement.

We all long for achievement, but we all want that achievement to be unique is its result.

I actually said that wrong. I should have said

We all long for achievement, but we all want that achievement to be unique IN its result.

Also, people see achievement differently. While some people look for recognition from superiors for a job well done, others feel that the recognition is in the job itself.
That's me in a nut shell. The job itself is enough recognition for me. :)
